Our Modular Above Ground Safe Rooms are designed to exceed FEMA standards to withstand an EF-5 tornado.  The safe room can be fitted into your garage, concrete patio area or even an existing basement.  Stay Safe Storm Shelters can help you chose the best place for your storm shelter.

The EF-5 resistant shelters have Epoxy-Set Hilti bolt anchors based on 12" centers and the unit is protected with a 36 inch wheel-chair accessible door which has three extra-strength locks.  The units have two 30” square vents which allows fresh air in but keeps all debris out.

The sizes available vary – ranging from units that can safely hold two – four people (unit measuring 5’ L x 3’ W x 78" H), 10-12 people (unit measuring 5’ W x 5’ D x 78" H) or 12-16 people (unit measuring 5’ W x 8’ D x 78" H), ideal for a large family or small business
